Welcome to Gateway Performance Productions
MISSION
To engage, inspire and educate through the performing arts and related fine and applied arts.

VISION
To create original art that is mesmerizing and transformative in its power to connect participants to the essential truths of their humanity.

Gateway Performance Productions' programs provide relief for 15-year-old Sarah and others who suffer from depression, anxiety and suicidal ideation.

2022 has been an exciting and fulfilling year for Gateway. Partnerships with health and wellness agencies have made it possible to provide the Company's arts programs by prescription from medical doctors, therapists and certified social workers. This programming serves diverse communities including youth ages 12 to 26 diagnosed with anxiety, depression and/or suicidal ideation, elders throughout the state of Georgia age 65 and up who suffer from anxiety, depression and isolation and homeless military veterans temporarily housed at Atlanta's Fort McPherson.

Your support is needed to continue this vitally important programing. Please include Gateway in your charitable giving. The Company  is a 501(3)(c) non-profit organization founded in 1974. Your donation is tax deductible. To Contribute CLICK HERE  and please use your receipt to document your charitable deduction.

Your contribution will also help support Gateway’s 22-year-old venue in Atlanta - The Mask Center, which serves as a studio for the Company’s performances, rehearsals, in-person and virtual classes in acting, creative writing, drawing, mask-making and mime. See  Class Schedule. Gateway's original performances presented at the Center have toured to 36 states in the U.S, 13 other countries and become award-winning productions for film, television and radio. View Programming Repertoire.

The Center also features an ongoing exhibit of museum quality theatrical masks created by Gateway’s award-winning mask maker Michael Hickey and provides performing and rehearsal space to other arts organizations and individual artists.

Gateway’s Producing Artistic Director Sandra Hughes has been honored with  both “Outstanding Partner” and “Outstanding Community Service” Awards from the City of Atlanta as well as an “Unsung Hero Award” from  Fulton County’s Department of Aging and Youth Services.
